President & CEO
Gary Johnson is President and CEO of Maritime Paper Products Limited Partnership. Gary Johnson’s experience in the packaging industry spans 43 years. He earned his CIM designation from Saint Mary’s University in 1986, completing the Queen’s University Executive Program in 1991. Since 1991, he has been employed with Maritime Paper, initially as Vice-President Manufacturing and became President in 1996 and President & CEO in February 2014.
Sheldon Gouthro, BBA
Vice-President & COO
Sheldon has been with the Maritime Paper for over 25 years, most recently holding the position as Vice President of Sales for the past 13 years. In 2018 he was promoted to Vice-President & COO. Sheldon holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Acadia University and diplomas from the Queen’s University Marketing Program, the Queen’s University Sales Management Program, and the Queen’s University Executive Management Program.
Matthew Rust, CPA, CA, MBA
CFO & Vice-President Administration
Matthew joined the company in the spring of 2015 as Vice-President of Finance. In 2018 was promoted to CFO & Vice-President Administration, prior to 2015 Matthew held the position of CFO (Chief Financial Officer) & Vice-President Finance and Administration for Vogue Optical. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from St. Mary’s University, CPA designation from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta, and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Calgary, as well as receiving his Chartered Accountant designation from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta.
Director of Manufacturing
Ron joined Maritime Paper in 2011 as a Product Consultant, in 2014 Ron was promoted to Operations Manager for our Moncton facility. In January 2019 was promoted to Director of Manufacturing at the Dartmouth location. Ron holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from McMaster University, CEBS (Certified Employee Benefits Specialist) designation , Industrial Mechanic Training, Mohawk College, Lean and Six Sigma Training, variety of print related courses specific to the the corrugated and folding carton industries from Clemson University.
Director of Human Resources
Susan has over 24 years of experience with Maritime Paper, she has extensive knowledge of the industry, in the areas human resource management and administration. In 2004 Susan was promoted to Director of Human Resources, prior to that she held the position of Manager of Human Resources. Susan holds a Master of Business Administration from Saint Mary’s University, a Human Resource Management Certificate from Saint Mary’s, a Bachelor of Business Administration from Cape Breton University.
Sales & Marketing Manager
Geoff has over 23 years of experience with Maritime Paper in areas of customer service, production planning, and export sales. In 2018 was promoted to Sales & Marketing Manager, prior to this he held the position of Manager of Business Development and Client Services. Geoff holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Mary’s University, a diploma from the Queen’s University Sales Management Program, and diploma in Graphic Arts & Structural Design from Clemson University.
